Dr Gus Freitas MV. Esp. (ortho/neuro)

Meet Dr. Gus, a Brazilian veterinarian living in the US for over 15 years. He is a 2010 graduate from the Federal University of Bahia State (UFBA) that fell in love with orthopedics in his first year of school. He started a hands-on surgical externship that he participated for his 5 years of school, then attended a 2-year graduate school program at CETAC VET in São Paulo Brazil, where he became specialized in orthopedics and neurospinal surgery in Brasil. Even though Dr. Freitas has not achieved board certification in the US he acquired the qualification to perform a wide variety of surgical procedures. Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in The States after completing the equivalency program ECFVG/AVMA, he has participated in multiple training courses in the US, is member of the AVMA, AO North America, and the Veterinary Orthopedic Society.
